Micro-green Salad with Maple Balsamic Vinegarette

This salad will impress your family and friends with its full flavour made with tastes of Northern Ontario.

Maple syrup goes well with everything.

Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette


1/4 olive oil or grapeseed oil

2 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar

1 tsp Dijon mustard

2 tbl Maple Syrup

Salt & pepper to taste


Mix all the ingredients in  a mason jar with a lid and shake well until all the ingredients have blended.



1/4lb Sunflower Sprout

1/4 Thinly sliced red onion

4 sliced pickled beets

3 tbl Soft Goat cheese

*great substitute is bleu cheese


Place the sunflower sprouts, onion and pickled beets in bowl. Break up the goat cheese into small chunks. Dress your salad with the desired amount of maple balsamic vinaigrette.
