The CSA : A Commitment to Farm Fresh Foods

Let Us Feed You

Make a commitment to eating more local by becoming a Three Forks Farms CSA Member.

What is a CSA?
A CSA is a Community Shared Agriculture Program. It is a commitment between an eater and a farmer to share the risk and bounty of the farm’s produce. By being a CSA member, you subscribe to the farm for a period of time, and in exchange you receive a weekly subscription of foods.

Flexibility with Three Forks CSA

  • You have the option of scheduling “Weeks Off.” So if you are going to take a holiday and cannot pick up your box, you can schedule to take a week off, receive credit and get the value of your share at a later date.
  • You can switch pick-up locations for a period, so if you are coming to camp on the island or spending time in Sudbury, you can change your pick-up location for the weeks you are there.
  • You can also choose to add into your weekly pick-up by purchasing online additional items available through the Farmigo store based on weekly availability.
  • Veggie CSA Exclusively: You have the option of receiving a pre-selected box of weekly vegetables OR you can choose to customize your box by selecting which items you want in your box that week.

Bonuses for CSA Members Only

  • Access produce and products grown for CSA members only. Our members get first preference for all our produce, like potatoes which are grown only for CSA members.
  • Gain EXCLUSIVE Access to a members-only Three Forks Food Community Group on Facebook, where you can meet other members, share recipes, learn storage and preservation tips and keep up to date with things around the farm.

Member Testimonials

“The CSA drastically reduces the time I spend meal planning. I eat what is in season, which guarantees freshness and good taste. The recipes in the newsletter are awesome as well and further help reduce my meal planning time.

I spend less time as the grocery store. The weekly half hour I save by picking up my vegetables from the CSA is precious.

I get social interactions with you and the crew out of it. It strengthens my sense of belonging to a community.

It’s also cheaper than buying equivalent organic produce at the grocery store (and perhaps non-organic produce as well). And I’m getting better quality product. It’s a no brainer.”

“On top of coming home every week with a bin of high quality produce, the setup allowed me to meal plan more consistently, and even to get a little creative in the kitchen (I turned jalapenos into candy, mushrooms into shawarma, and ground cherries into my new favourite chutney …it was wild).”
