We are seeking 3 full time farm staff, 3 part time harvest crew, part time market help and a bookkeeper to work along side with us in the field and at market for the 2019 season.

Three Forks Farms is mixed organic vegetable, seed and chicken farm. Now in the fourth year of operations, the 2019 season will include a 100 person vegetable box program, selling at two farmers markets, and wholesale to couple of local stores.  Three Forks Farms focuses on the production of 45 varieties of vegetables, vegetable seed production and 1400 pasture raised meat chickens. All production is in adherence with the organic standards as Three Forks Farms is certified by Eco Cert Canada.



Full Time Farm Staff Job Description

Working alongside the owners, the farm staff are engaged in all activities on the farm from planting, weeding, harvesting, processing and maintenance. All staff have a combination of physical labour both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. A great opportunity to learn all aspects of a diversified organic farming operation.

30 hours per week with more hours earned based on performance if desired

 Full Time Farm Staff Qualifications:

  • physically fit and strong and enjoy manual labour
  • an ability to work in groups with a positive team attitude, AND also able to spend hours alone on a project (ex: weeding, planting)
  • able to work under pressure and on tight timelines, in physically demanding conditions
  • understand hustle and able to maintain pace of work
  • comfortable with doing repetitive tasks
  • positive attitude, self motivated, flexible, and respond well to feedback
  • able to problem solve and create individualized efficiencies as you work
  • able to work some weekends
  • enjoy music, the outdoors and making life’s moments fun while being productive

Optional additional assets:

  • A valid driver’s license and able to drive standard
  • Experience working on an organic or ecological farm
  • Bi-lingual (Oral French and English)

On farm accommodation/meals available and can be negotiated based on experience.

Salary: $14/ hr

Position 1&2 Term: May 15 to Aug 31

Position 3 Term: May 15 to October 31

Harvest Crew Staff Job Description

Working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from mid July to September for 4-6 hours per day, harvesting crops that are in season.

8- 18 hrs per week

Harvest Crew Qualifications:

  • able to work under pressure and on tight timelines, in physically demanding conditions
  • understand hustle and able to maintain pace of work
  • comfortable with doing repetitive tasks

  • enjoy music, the outdoors and making life’s moments fun while being productive

Salary: Variable based on crop from $10 to $25/hr based on speed of harvest

Market Staff Job Description (2 positions available)

Working along side the owners at the Thursday and/or Saturday Markets in Sudbury. Tasks include set-up and takedown, display and presentation of product, sales, inventory management, customer service

5- 12 hours per week

Market Staff Qualifications:

  • physically fit and strong
  • positive attitude
  • customer service experience
  • knowledge on how to use, cook and consume vegetables and poultry
  • ability to do quick addition and subtraction without use of a calculator
  • an ability to work in groups with a positive team attitude
  • able to work under pressure and on tight timelines, in physically demanding conditions
  • understand hustle and able to maintain pace of work
  • positive attitude, self motivated, flexible, and respond well to feedback
  • able to work weekends when necessary

Basic bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, remittance preparation (HST, Payroll, WSIB)
